Did you participate in a Drama?
by Hecce ini am bringing this up because even it was a lot of work, for the majority of the friends this was a rewarding experience.
camaraderie, joking, costumes, props and when the time came the celebrity status of being in the drama.. back in the 50s and 60s, conventions could be as long as 8 days and from about 1966 the dramas became an integral part of the program.
we had one per day and the brothers looked forward to their presentation.

Since Armageddon did not come in 75, I am now 63 years old.
I can no longer eat like I did when I was young. My body makes too much cholesterol.
So every day for breakfast I have oatmeal and blueberries.
For lunch I have a cup of beans and for dinner 5 out of 7 days I eat vegan and 2 out of 7 eat chicken and veggies, or fish and veggies.
I eat at home often, it is a rare thing for me to go out to dinner.
I used to love to go out to dinner but high cholesterol has put an end to that.
i take vitamins every day about 10,
Go to the gym 5 out of 7 days and play soccer 3 to 5 times a week.

I remember having to go before the draft board to go to Viet Nam when I turned 18.
I cant say I was a pacifist. But I do know I did not want to get killed.
I told the draft board I had a problem going into the army because of my mothers religion.
I said maybe, I would go in the coast guard and drive around Lake Erie in a boat.
They said you have a pretty high draft number 181. Why don't you just wait and see if we get that high.
They never made it to 181.
I do remember feeling very conflicted. I would not have been happy in jail as a conscientious objector and I would have gotten sea sick riding around in a boat on Lake Erie or the Mekong Delta.
I did not know it at the time 18 years old but I am pretty sure today that God killed more people in the bible than the Devil ever did. I think Satan only killed 10 people in the bible.

In my opinion a loving creator would and did give man free will.
And that is the whole problem with opinions. They are based on how we see the world. This depends on where we were born, how we were treated, what we were taught and everything else that happened before we had that opinion.
Do you think someone born into a Hindu family in India would have the same choices in life as someone born in Italy? Would they both be taught about the Abrahamic God? When does the person born in India get to get to exercise their free will so they can put their faith in Jesus?I post lots of opinions. I am an opinion generator.
I have lived to be 63 and do not feel that I have had free will very many times in my life.
I always had to go to work to pay my bills. I could only stay home when I had a day off.
I had to be a JW until I figured out I did not have to be one. I could not leave one minute before.
One opinion I have in my data banks from extensive reading on the subject from a wall of books in my library. Is that we are God and we are all parts of God spirits having material experiences. And we are trying to find our way home.
Another opinion is that we are In a matrix. We are in a computer program. Personally, I have seen some tears in the fabric to support that opinion.
I am pretty sure, I will never know for sure what is going on in this life and be able to post it on this discussion board.
I am stuck with opinions.

There are a lot of choices, free will that people have.
2 popular choices that people have to make is to make sense out of the bible and there being a God.
or that there is no God, designer creator and we ended up here by chance.

In America they have the 10 commandments posted in various places.
These are the 10 commandments that I have seen in America.
Exodus
19:25 So Moses went down unto the people, and spake unto them.
20:1 And God spake all these words, saying,1. Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
2. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth me..
3. Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
4. Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
5. Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
6. Thou shalt not kill.
7. Thou shalt not commit adultery.
8. Thou shalt not steal.
9.Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.
10. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass,nor any thing that is thy neighbour’s -

Ok I see Coftys point. There are possibly 2 versions of the 10 commandments.
Below are the 10 commandments that I was referring to.
I did say that one has to spend a life time studying these things in the bible. Probably just to retain it.
I think the 10 commandments below are pretty good advice for any country or people to follow.
People have free will to accept or refuse these command. And they do often to their detriment.

34:1 And the LORD said unto Moses, Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first: and I will write upon these tables the words that were in the first tables, which thou brakest.
34:4 And he hewed two tables of stone like unto the first; and Moses rose up early in the morning, and went up unto mount Sinai, as the LORD had commanded him, and took in his hand the two tables of stone.
34:10 And he said, Behold, I make a covenant: before all thy people I will do marvels, such as have not been done in all the earth, nor in any nation: and all the people among which thou art shall see the work of the LORD: for it is a terrible thing that I will do with thee.Exodus 34:14-26
1. For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God:
2. Thou shalt make thee no molten gods.
3. The feast of unleavened bread shalt thou keep. Seven days thou shalt eat unleavened bread, as I commanded thee, in the time of the month Abib: for in the month Abib thou camest out from Egypt.
4. But the firstling of an ass thou shalt redeem with a lamb: and if thou redeem him not, then shalt thou break his neck. All the firstborn of thy sons thou shalt redeem. And none shall appear before me empty.
.5. Six days thou shalt work, but on the seventh day thou shalt rest: in earing time and in harvest thou shalt rest.
6. And thou shalt observe the feast of weeks, of the firstfruits of wheat harvest, and the feast of ingathering at the year’s end.
7. Thrice in the year shall all your menchildren appear before the LORD God, the God of Israel.
8. Thou shalt not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leaven; neither shall the sacrifice of the feast of the passover be left unto the morning.
9. The first of the firstfruits of thy land thou shalt bring unto the house of the LORD thy God.
10. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother’s milk -

I don't think the bible itself specifically calls them the 10 commandments but they are the 10 statements that the bible said God wrote with his finger on stone. -

The ten commandments were written by God in stone.
Many people in America used to rest one day out of 7, Keeping the Sabbath.
When I was growing up stores were not open on Sundays.
That is a time many here do not remember.
But it is also a time when many say America was great.
That can be quite a rabbit hole to go down discussing keeping the Sabbath.
I think the 10 commandments are pretty good. For both legal and psychological direction.
Even the laws that were not the 10 commandments about not boiling a kid in its mothers milk is a good law.
